TAVES 2012 Show Report

In 2009, AIX Records had our own demonstration room at the Denver Tech Center Marriot Hotel. We had a really great surround system consisting of an Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player, B&W 802D Speakers, Bryston Amplifiers and a Panasonic Flat Panel TV. While I spent my time in the German Physiks room showing off our new music server, my associate held regular demonstrations in the 5.1 room while my wife sold our discs. The show was a terrific success! If visitors take the time to visit our room and carefully listen to real HD-Audio (not analog upconversions), a whole new higher quality listening experience can be realized.

This year AIX Records was back. Instead of having a dedicated room, I opted for a small table in the marketplace ballroom and my usual Oppo/Smyth-Research/Benchmark headphone setup. This has become my ideal road system and allows me to demonstrate the terrific tracks that we have AND focus on the presentation and selling of our latest products. I was also involved in a couple of panels on High End audio and headphones.
